Ants PAI privacy and data

Profiles, learner state, checkpoints, replay, opponents, hypotheses, settings, and environment memory are local by default under the selected Ants data location.

Rolling screenshots and Mark Issue

While observing a bound poker window, Ants maintains encrypted, bounded, temporary captures. Mark Issue pins approximately two minutes before the mark and 30 seconds after it. Nothing is uploaded merely because an issue is marked.

Submit Issue

Submit Issue is explicit consent to send only that marked packet to Bad Ant Productions. It can include screenshots containing visible table, player, or account information, plus minimized diagnostic state and relevant logs. It excludes the complete profile, checkpoints, unrelated replay/opponent history, source documents, unrelated issues, and credentials.

Raw evidence remains until reviewed and actioned. After closure it is normally deleted after 90 days and no later than one year unless an explicit diagnostic hold is necessary. A compact issue ledger remains for defect, fix, recurrence, and regression history. A verified local encrypted copy is normally retained for 30 days after upload.

Updates and crashes

Ants may check the signed internal update manifest once daily after startup. Failure never blocks local use. Crash diagnostics remain local and are offered for review on the next launch; screenshots, poker state, profiles, checkpoints, and memory dumps are not sent automatically.

Uninstall and deletion

Normal uninstall preserves Ants local data. The separate “Also remove all Ants PAI local data” action is destructive and requires confirmation. Profile backup and issue reporting are separate: issue storage is not a profile backup.
